Background screening · minor-facing tutor safety
Tutors who teach Sprouts (5-7), Junior (8-11), or Tween/Learn (11-14) age bands must clear verified background screening before accepting minor-facing bookings. Pending-screening tutors are limited to adult learners until cleared.
Integration shape
Tutor onboarding includes screening initiation when a tutor opts into minor-facing work. During the current manual-first stage, operations verifies and records results; minor-facing bookings stay blocked until a current cleared status is present. Re-verification is annual.
Value exchange
A screening-provider partner supplies industry-standard background checks while Koydo keeps sensitive identifiers out of its systems and enforces the resulting tutor-safety gate.
Fit note
Verified background screening is required for tutors teaching minors and optional for tutors teaching adults only. The tutor purchases the screening through Koydo's web checkout at the provider's auditable cost plus 20%; payment never guarantees clearance or ranking.
