Koydo tutor certification is a tiered, marketplace-native credential. The entry gate (Tier 1, "Koydo Certified Tutor") is a 4-hour, proctored, multi-modal exam — listening, reading, writing, and speaking for language tutors, each with its own minimum score — plus a safeguarding background check; in the US it costs $300, with localized pricing elsewhere. After Tier 1, tutors opt in to have real lessons recorded and AI-analyzed: server-computed logged teaching hours and scored recordings earn Advanced and Master, where an independent external expert reviews their teaching. Recording is tutor-full and learner-minimized — the tutor's own audio-video plus a de-identified learner transcript are kept; raw recordings are purged on a short clock; any minor recording requires parent consent. Every credential is issued as a portable Open Badges 3.0 / W3C Verifiable Credential with a public verification URL, criteria, evidence, expiry, and revocation.
